Have you read the book of Romans? Well Romans 8:28 says: “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Yes, you read it right! Absolutely everything that has happened in our lives, has been just part of God’s plan for our lives! Yours and mine, and everyone you know. Nothing happens without God’s will. It’s all God’s will.

I think every experience and every detail is meant to be used at some point in life. My time in Monterrey, my nomad years, living in California then moving to Texas, everything happened not just so I could write or tell you about it, but to be used somewhere or with someone at some point. I worked in the corporate world as a bilingual executive assistant, I was a translator/interpreter for a school district, and now a registered nurse. So with all of above in my pocket, I have prayed and prayed for God to point me in the direction He wants me to be of use, not just for our benefit, but also for other people’s benefit. What I’ve learned has helped me or someone else along the way so far, but what about later on?

Well, I prayed for God to help me figure out what to do with these talents He has given me, how to use them not just for His glory, but in a way that I can become my own boss, become financially independent so I don’t have to worry about how I’ll pay the bills next week, so we can have time for us and time to serve God properly. Which brings us now to one of the big breadcrumbs God has led me to, and I’m so excited about it! I’ve been following a lady over on Facebook, One Fit Widow, and one Sunday afternoon I was watching a video she made with her husband, and a word caught my attention: coach. Coach Michelle, coach Keith. Coach, I googled it, and there was my breadcrumb! Health coaching! Dude, this is perfect!! Have you ever seen me in action as a nurse, or even as a person? I don’t cut corners when it comes to a recommendation for care! I make sure I tell my patients or friends the what, the how and the why. So when I think about what to do with myself in the future, helping others will just continue but now as a coach. God has led me to put together the background, now He’s leading me to put it to great use. I have taken the reigns of my own health, losing weight and getting fit, and while I’m still a work in progress, I could use what I’ve been learning to help so many people!

Now, the other big breadcrumb and this is by far my most favorite one ever! Alright, so you’d have to be completely blind if you haven’t noticed all these people on any social media platform and news or magazines or wherever, becoming entrepreneurs, traders, flippers, bloggers, you name it. They’re making tons of money!! Whether it’s scam or not, I have considered the possibility of any of these scenarios as part of my future. As a widow single mom without any help whatsoever, I have given all of these options quite a serious thought, and I’ve prayed for God to lead me to make wise decisions for both me and my kid. Somehow, I have to increase my income and put money back into my savings! There has got to be more to the story than the current status quo! I’m not much of a trader, plus I am really a chicken and I don’t understand much of it. I tried 2 network marketing companies, but while I can tell you how much I love their products, I’m not built to chase people to get them to buy something. However, there is something I’ve done and I’ve done good. Selling and buying houses started with Richard. We had a great realtor who gave us all the education we needed to buy houses, and we put it to use not just in CA but in TX as well. We fixed the condo he had when we got married, and we got a good profit for it, and this was just the beginning. So long story short, I went to a free class, signed up for a 3-day workshop that will teach me the what, the how and the why to real estate investing. I’m beyond excited about this because this has been something that I’ve always wanted to do!!

So whether or not it sounds like the greatest breadcrumbs to you, they certainly are to me. I need more time for my kid and more time to serve God properly. I have all these talents given to me by God I can use. I need more income, I need freedom, I need solid 8 hours of sleep, and I currently have part or none of the above. I do believe that if you pray with all your heart, and God puts something that appears to be the answer in front of you, then it must be God telling you to take a look at this or to consider that possibility. Plus, the talents given to each one of us are to be used for God’s glory. That’s exactly what I’ve been praying for! The Bible says in 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” So there you go.
