I started this idea of blogging a long time ago. I always kept journals when I was young, like a lot of people do. I trusted my beloved journals to a couple of friends, and both said my journals were book worthy. I’m not sure about the book part, but I know they were a good read, at least you could get a laugh out of it.

Who am I? Why I thought you’d never ask! I’m Laura, I’m a widow single mom. I’m a Registered Nurse and I work from home. My son is Samuel. I have a dog, a Beagle named Nike. My husband Richard passed away in 2012. I’m an immigrant, I became a Naturalized American Citizen in 2008 and I’m quite proud of it. I’m a Christian person, I believe God has held our hands through the many storms we’ve weathered. I’ve kept the same friends for decades, and made many new friends along the way. Our home is in the beautiful state of Texas. I have my family still in Monterrey, and my in-laws in California. We love photography and traveling, we love a good laugh and good times.

You know, I haven’t written anything in so long. I was always reading a book, I’m not anymore. It’s actually quite sad because people should have time to read and write, so here we are. From now on, you read, I write. I have enough to say, and then some, so don’t worry, I’ll keep you busy or at least, entertained. There are just so many happenings! You know how people say “and then this happen…” or “then that happen…” well, we have a lot of happenings!

So I hope you come back, and get a giggle out of our last happening.
